One of the world’s most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man™. Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
The first spider-man movie instantly became an epic. An action-packed adaption of the world famous cartoon, it contained just the right amount of drama, romance and amazing special effects. Most people in the yonger generation has seen it. Who doesnt remember Peter Parker (then played by Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) upside down kissing in the rain, or Peter jumping on a giant Carlsberg truck? Since then there have been two more movies, also huge successes. So why stop there?
It is no more than ten years ago that Marvel hero Spider-Man’s origin story was portrayed on film. Back then it was with Tobey Maguire as the net-wielding, masked superhero, and the film received two commercially successful sequels in 2004 and 2007.
Most people are crazy about watching new 3D movies the technology just keeps getting better. Producers have decided to upstage themselves with the new installment in the Spider-Man series and have creating ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ in 3D! What a treat. Regardless of how much you might like the storyline or even Spider-Man movies, this movie is certain to be unlike any you have ever seen before. The 3D will be state-of-the-art, as will the special effects. It is a must-see for anyone who enjoys action or who wants to see what is brand new in 3D. Of course it can also be viewed in 2D for those few who prefer it like that.
In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ the teenager Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) is something of an outsider in high school. As a child he was abandoned by his parents and raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and his Aunt May (Sally Field).
While teenage problems pile up, Peter tries to get it to work with his first girlfriend Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). When he discovers a mysterious bag that belonged to his father, he starts questioning his parents loss, which leads him to the company Oscorp and his father’s former colleague, Dr. Curt Connors’ (Rhys Ifans) laboratory.
Here he is exposed to an accident that mysteriously gives him super powers, and soon Parker fights crime as the amazing Spider-Man.
The new man at the helm, Marc Webb, directed the romantic indie drama ‘(500) Days of Summer’ (2009), but is now ready for his first try with the big Hollywood-effects machine.
The movies might have mixed reviews- it is in no way artsy or deep. But from any action-lover, or from movie-goers who love to be amazed, it will get a full line of stars. Sp grab your friend, date, mom or whoever you want, and hurry on down to your nearest 3D cinema to spend an enchanted evening and be blown away by the Amazing Spider-Man.
